wade to remain the law of the land. it is unfortunate that it's not. but the reality is people really do want women to be left alone in making their decision as to whether to continue a pregnancy or not. and by the way one of the most -- polling that i've seen that jumped out at me is the vast majority of people who think that if abortion were to be a crime again that at least there should be an exception where when a pregnancy threatens a woman's health, now lawmakers have not honored a woman's right to protect her own health and terminate a pregnancy. but some of the polls i've seen, it is over 80% of people say yes, there should be an exception for women's health. again, if we have this public conversation, people look at the lawmakers trying to restrict abortion and the result is that they don't like what they see. they don't like the lawmakers dismissive and demeaning attitudes about women and that builds more support for abortion rights. so i think that's the question is how are we going to close the gap between what the voters want and what the
